It’s all the rage in Japan – “Love Hotels,” not for prostitution, necessarily, but for couples to go enjoy a blissful/erotic/kinky/relaxing/impassioned few hours together. Some such establishments have wacky themes. Some just provide privacy and discretion. By this estimation, 2% of the Japanese population (that’s 1.4 million people) visit a love hotel EVERY DAY.
Yet many have been abandoned. Some are decaying. Some look like you could still pop in there and have a grand old time. You can take your own eerie photo tour HERE and HERE.
But what about the love hotels still in business? Would you ever go to one? With your significant other? With your Hot Sex Prospect? Is there is something illicitly enticing about adding a third option to the age old question, “your place or mine…?” ?? And, once there, assuming you could check out any time you wanted…would you ever want to leave…?
