January 27th is the first FULL MOON of 2013. The moon, which is in Leo, can affect your mood and your mind thought, which in turn writes several scripts, beginnings, middles and endings, at the workplace and your love life. Although this moon is called the Wolf Moon, Leo is a take control, get it done kind and so instead of feeling as if your claws are coming out and you are ready to rip someone’s head off, you should feel calm and relaxed. With the prime Full Moon date landing on Sunday, it makes it a perfect time to do something low key like meeting girlfriends and watching the newest chick flick or hang out at home with a pizza and glass of wine.
Full Moons tend to make many feel emotional and sometimes weepy, and the January Full Moon often makes us hard on ourselves for what we didn’t accomplish through our New Year intentions. We are going to lose that weight. We are going to find our perfect mate. We are going to make tons of money. By the middle of January when the gym membership was used only once, we are still sitting on the couch eating corn puffs on Saturday evening and our bank account status hasn’t changed, frustration sets in and we give up.
Frustration and impatience are both negative attributes, which throw more negative your way. Turn off your negative mental chat that is sabotaging the life that you so deserve. How do you do that? The first thing is by acknowledging that you are doing it and when a negative thought arises, tell yourself ‘STOP!‘ and replace the negative thought with a positive one. Or simply take some deep breathes. We can’t always have a head full of sunshine, but little by little you will notice that your negative thoughts will start to dissipate. Think of it as mental scum and you are erasing it away with your happy thoughts. By simply turning down the volume of negative chatter, the things you have been wanting in your life will begin to show up – whatever you are dreaming of. Always remember that what you focus on expands and if it is negative, then that is what you will get.
If you completed the New Moon list and wrote our your check, take them back out, reiterate your wishes and either put it away, with faith that all is taken care of, or burn it, sending it off into the ethereal.
So release your sadness (crying is a great release, as is working out) and reiterate your true wishes. You are the source of your thinking. You are the source of your behavior. There are no strings attached to you! You are the writer of your story. You make it happen. Take your life pen back and begin writing!
