Women are capable of kicking some serious ass all on our own, and while a boyfriend (or girlfriend) certainly isn’t necessary, it can be awful nice to have one. They’re like the Robin to your Batman; the Mulder to your Scully. Boyfriends are supposed to add joy to your life, and if he’s doing that, you’ve got yourself a keeper. But is he the best boyfriend ever? Here are some ways to tell.
And I mean really helps. He helps you pack and unpack and is there when the movers arrive and after. He offers support and lends an ear, because moving is really, really stressful. He’s there for you. I know what you might be thinking: if he’s the “best boyfriend ever,” wouldn’t you be moving in together? To which I say, not necessarily. Sometimes, couples just aren’t ready to live together, yet. When the time is right they will, and if the time isn’t right, they won’t. Doesn’t mean that both parties aren’t great at being good girlfriends/boyfriends. It just means that everyone moves at their own pace.
My boyfriend likes to (playfully) make fun of me, and I love it. It takes me out of my head, and into the moment. My thing is I stress out a lot, and when he pokes fun at me doing that, it makes me laugh and reminds me to take it easy — not everything is worth stressing over. And he knows when not to make fun of me, too. But really, he pokes fun at me because he loves these little quirky things I say or do, which anyone else might find annoying and not nearly as sweet. If your guy can embrace your quirkiness, it means he’s in it to win it.
And without complaining! In fact, he does so with joy (or as much joy as possible; some families are happy, fun, and normal, and other families are the Kardashians.) When he hangs out with your family, he’s showing you how much he cares. It’s a big deal to me when a guy has no problem spending time with me and my family. My family is very important to me, and so is he, so naturally I want the two to mesh. When they do, it’s awesome.
I don’t mean he’s like “The Rock”, like he’s not this:
